The Wellspring (wellspring.beyondthesurfacetools.com) is operated by Empowered Way of Life Therapy, LLC ("EWOL," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have.
Wellspring is a public emotional-wellness and resource hub: free calming tools, guided journals and workbooks available for purchase, and information about Shanita Wade, MA, LPC and her private practice. Wellspring is separate from, and does not replace, the official practice site (empoweredwayoflife.com) or the Beyond the Surface™ Clinical Tools Suite for therapists (beyondthesurfacetools.com).
If you subscribe to our newsletter, you provide your email address to MailerLite, our email service provider, so we can send you the emotional wellness resources and updates you signed up for. If you email us directly (info@ewoltherapy.com), we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message.
The newsletter sign-up form is provided by MailerLite. MailerLite's scripts and form resources load only when you intentionally open the sign-up form by clicking "Open Newsletter Sign-Up" — not automatically when the page loads or when you scroll near that section. Subscriptions are processed and stored by MailerLite on our behalf, and MailerLite has its own privacy practices, available on their website. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. Subscribing to the newsletter is separate from, and is not treated as, consent to optional analytics cookies — rejecting analytics does not prevent you from intentionally opening and using the newsletter form.
Like most websites, Wellspring and its hosting provider (Netlify) automatically process some basic technical information when you visit — such as your general browser type, device type, and the pages you request — in order to deliver the site to you and keep it running securely. This is standard web-server activity, not a separate tracking system we've added.
Wellspring uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-PL5X39CNCN) to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. Google Analytics is never loaded until you affirmatively accept optional cookies through the cookie banner or Cookie Settings panel. If you reject or do not respond to the banner, Google Analytics does not load and no analytics data is sent. If you later turn Analytics off after previously accepting it, Analytics is disabled immediately for the rest of your visit and does not reload on refresh or navigation unless you re-enable it. Wellspring links out to Etsy, Amazon, Payhip, Beyond the Surface™ (beyondthesurfacetools.com), the EWOL practice site (empoweredwayoflife.com), and social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest). These are external services with their own privacy practices and policies, separate from this one. We encourage you to review their policies before providing information to them.
We use the information described above to operate the website, deliver the newsletter to subscribers, respond to emails, and, only with your consent, understand overall site usage through analytics. We do not use your information for automated profiling or advertising.
EWOL does not sell personal information.
Newsletter information is retained while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, MailerLite and EWOL may retain limited records, such as your email address and unsubscribe status, as reasonably necessary to honor your request, prevent unwanted resubscription, maintain appropriate business records, and meet applicable legal obligations. Emails you send us are kept as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain our own records.
Wellspring is not directed to children and is not knowingly used to collect information from children.
Visiting Wellspring, reading its content, or subscribing to its newsletter does not create a therapist-client relationship with Shanita Wade or Empowered Way of Life Therapy, LLC. Wellspring is educational and informational; it is not therapy, diagnosis, medical advice, or crisis care. Please do not submit detailed clinical information, protected health information, or crisis messages through ordinary email or the newsletter form — these are not confidential or HIPAA-secure channels, and this website is not "HIPAA compliant" as a whole.
